美国数学学会（American Mathematical Society，简称AMS）创建于1888年，多年来一直致力于促进全球数学研究的发展及其应用。
MathSciNet收录全世界250多家专业出版社的2000余种期刊、数十万种图书及会议文献的索引，详细标引了每篇文章的机构、分类，并对作者署名做消歧，同时构建了数学领域较权威的引文数据库。
截止2024年3月，MathSciNet收录文献超过432万条，评论全文近百万篇，索引超120万名学者。除数学之外，MathSciNet还收录经济、管理、工程及计算机等领域的顶尖期刊，并做选评。AMS MathSciNet已成为检索全球数学及相关学科文献的重要工具。
